But even if I had, I would have had to receive at least 2 million dollars just to walk away with a couple of hundred thousand after my attorney got his share, and my medical bills had been paid. Instead I was left with having to pay the balance on 3 separate surgeries after my insurance paid their part. My last surgery was over 1/2 a million dollars. That's not chicken feed! I am no longer able to work and SSD doesn't even come close to my prior wages. It has hurt us financially and now my husband is paying for my doctor's mistake, literally.
