I completely disagree. A man that is lied to about fathering an infant that held the baby as his own "for one day" should be responsible for thousands of dollars for almost 20 years. NO WAY! Ignorance is not bliss-men have the right to know the truth, not be scammed into parenthood. But, your method would make it even easier to trap people.

If all parties thought it was in the best interest of the child we wouldn't even be having this discussion. She committed fraud and if the DNA doesnt match (I don't care how long it takes) he should NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for her laying on her back with someone else. If she had thought about her child and been a good mother she would have not only contacted the real father of her child but also informed the man that she had been lying to that the child was not his. She (the mother) is not uncommon from many other women that want a free meal ticket. Instead what I think should happen is that she go to jail for fraud and her children be raised by someone that actually has some damn morals!
