 I am glad they took the show over, come on who is he a heroe to?? well i am proud to say he is not heroe of mine, or any of my children, there are true heroes out there that dont get recognition, because they do it from their hearts to make our country a better place, and help others better themselves, Dog does it just because is his way of making a living, nothing wrong with that! dont get me wrong, but heroe?? that just makes me sooooo sad. I encourage my children , 2 teenagers and a young man 24, to read about real heroes, real people that have done great things for their countries. Many good role models are still out there, and if you really look youll find them in your comunities, again I am glad the show is over and i hope it stays OVER!!!!! If you watch some documentaries that other channels offer youll find many people that contribute to society and make it better a little bit at the time.

i feel that dog shound not get his show back. He claims to be a god going person but yet he used that filthy word and as i remeber that word was never in the bible. Dog is always saying he is for everyone he wants to help every one and family means everything to him well he just proved he lied.  Yes people do deserve a second chance but he has had a few of them one when he got out of jail and two when he was freed from mexico if some one else did what he did then they would of stayed there. Dog comes down on tucker cause he was in jail and not follwing in the bounty hunts, but he's forgetting that tucker is following in his dad's footsteps because daddy was in jail too! Dog is very prejudice and he does not deserve to have his show back. if he says that in private what will he do if he arested a blck person! well thank you for letting me speak my mind and i was wondering when dr phil was going to cover this topic thank you dr phil maybe you should put dog in the dr phil house with  a couple of african amercans  see how he likes that.  This is not just a "mistake." This is a reflection of the man's beliefs that he carries into his everday life. I heard the tape on Youtube. As long as his son continues with this woman Dog will not let him work  in his organization. The only "mistake" that Dog feels is that he got caught.  Do you think that Trent Lott or Strom Thurmond fell any differently. The thing is that Dog is a evangelical christian  who has appeared at their televised shows and has loudly expressed those beliefs on his show. They have a prayer before they take down the bad guys. To me-racism is part of the core belief of many evangelical christians, particularly  Republicans. Everytime one of these guys gets caught whether its Mel Gibson going on a rant about the Jews, Trent Lott extolling the virtues of Strom Thurmond and segregation or Dog spewing his vile, they try to rehabilitate themselves with apologies. The trouble is the same beliefs remain.

Whether or not he's a hero to some is irrelevant.  A person can be a hero, a public figure, heck the president of the U.S. and still be wrong.  What Dog did was not a "mistake".  He didn't accidently say the 'N' word.  A mistake is when something is done or in this case said accidently or unintentionally.  And, to me the sole issue with what he said is not just that he said the 'N' word but it is the context in which he said it, the number of times he said it, the fact that he told his son that he cannot bring his girlfriend to his home because he will not stop saying the 'N' word (which one would infer that his son has brought this matter to his father's attention before and Dog will not cease using the word, thus disrespecting his son's girlfriend), and the similarities he made to 'blacks' and whores and Mexicans.  Notwithstanding this, his attempt at an apology was no better.  To consider himself black as he said is silly.  He stated that he has always considered himself black and that he grew up poort and in the slums.  Well, this again suggests that black people are all poor and grew up in the slums.  The comment is the same as if he were to say, "I'm not prejudice, my best friend is black or my neighbor is black and I talk to him/her all the time."  There is no difference.

 

The problem is people are not seeing the issue.  It should not be noted that blacks use that word with other black people, etc.  The point in this case is that Dog expressly stated that he did not want his son to bring his girlfriend home because she was black.  He even went further to suggest that his son stop seeing this young lady.  Now, people need to ask themselves what type of relationship is going on here between Dog and his son for his son to even have to ask if he can bring his girlfriend home.  He's been dating the girl for seven months and, assumingly, haven't brought her home.  What does that tell you?  The point also is that he refuses to even stop using the word and the point is that he associated black people with being poor and living in the slums.

 

Someone actually needs to look into the A&E productions.  You cannot tell me that Dog uses the 'N' word only at home with the frequency that he used it over the phone and not on the set.  What does A&E do when they hear this language on its set?  What about Dog's friends or associates or co-actors/acresses?  Does anyone stand up and voice dissatisfaction or is his entire world white and no one says anything?  (But, it couldn't be all white because he stated in his attempted apology that he's always considered himself black.  Well, I know that a black person wouldn't allow Dog using the 'N' word in front of him/her.)

 

 

 

 

I agree, I think his son got him all riled up and set him up for a fall... I'm planning on firing odf an e-mail to A&E (pretty sure mine won't be the only one) we all say things we don't neccesarily mean from time to time. Think it's time to move on.

I agree.  The dog has taken some very viscous and mean people off the streets.  He has made mistakes before and I think his privacy was invaded.  No matter what you will not take his business away.  I enjoy the show and I want to see another season.  Rachel

I don't watch Dog the Bounty Hunter but I think it is terrible for his career to be taken away for a private conversation with his son.  What if the conversation had been about an abortion?  Would A&E cancel him if they heard a recording concerning an abortion.  His son has proven what kind of person he is.  I am ashamed of Dr Phil for taking the position that he has on his program today concerning Dog.  He ignores the fact that it was a private conversation. Could any of us hold up if all of our conversation were made public?  I am sure even Dr Phil has said things in private conversations that he would not want to be made public.  I heard Dog say he was not calling all black people n------, but that is the way he felt about this certain girl.  From the things we have seen and heard in the past few weeks, Dog was right about this girl.

1) Censorship of speech or prejudice only creates DEEPER prejudice.  EVERYONE has their preferences, everyone in anger calls names.... (oh show me someone who doesn't has or is due some serious internal medical issues!)

 

2) Pills to 11 year olds....  Lots of shoulds.... Well, those shoulds have never worked, along with education, parental responsibility, etc.   PILL the active!  You WON'T stop them.  Protect that girl's future without babies having babies.

 

I'm trying to have respect for Dr. Phil's comments....but the words of audience and platform and video connections....are FULL OF IT!

 

Kids don't have ability to predict consequences of their actions - Dr. Phil.   (YES)

 

No child is FORCED to take the pill, but for those girls who KNOW theyre going to be sexually active, yes, pill her....along with giving her as much sex education as possible - i.e., RESPECT for her own body...

 

For....the girl IS simply being used, and eventually discarded with a baby for SOCIETY to feed.  Protect the girls, protect society, protect the baby born to a baby.

I also beleive Dog should get his show back. Millions of people adore the Dog and look forward to watching him.

A hip hop singer can use the N word in music that children listen to, but Dog was supposed to be having a private conversation with his son ( who I hear got a mere $15000.00  for the betrayal sham on you).

 

Let me ask you if you have ever made a mistake?????? We all have.

 

I was appalled about the way you trashed the Dog,Dr Phil, and I am not so sure I will dedicate an hour of my time every day to watch your show. Apolize to Dogs Fans!!!!!!!!!!

I've always respected Dr. Phil and his opinion. But tonight he is totally out of line with the Dog. Sharpton is one of the most raciest people that I've known in my lifetime. (born 1964) I agree with most of the others on here that say Dog has a right to freedom of speech, right or wrong. The "N" word is a real true word that can apply to anybody of any race who is a sorry person. After watching and thinking about the show and seeing how Dr. Phil reacted and things that he said, I lost alot of respect for him and don't care if I ever watch the show again.
