Dog is human

Quote From: gramieph

I have watched Dog's show for some time now---he is a ruff and tuff guy on the outside but on the inside he is a softy.  I think he has issues he has not dealt with from his childhood and as a young man but if anyone has watched his show--he is ruff prior to getting his bond skipper but when he has them, he tries to guide them  down the right road and shows nothing but respect to them.

Many of us in this world have two sides to us---those of you that say you do not , have not loocked in the mirror lately and been truthful.  Was Dog right in talking like he did?   This is his way--was he saying that directly at this girl ?  NO, for pete sake read and listen to the conversation.  He was trying to guide his son in a proper direction---I think this young gal is a "colorful" person and has caused some problems in that family and Dog, being Dog, was talking to his son in a private conversation that only those two were to hear--as I am sure millions of us have done in our lives, and what this son did to his father is totally unexcuseable to say the least.  Should he use that terrible word?  No, no one should .  I do not care what color your skin is, no one has the right to call you terrible names to your face.  In a private conversation, that is no ones business.

This son is still furious at his father for not bailing him out of jail and that is all it is--a brat on the loose.!!! And this gal latched onto Tucker not because she likes him but likes the ego trip of being affiliated with the Chapman's.

I find it ironic, all the so called "do-gooders" at times like this come crawling out of the woodwork and get on the "Holy" ban wagon, if the truth were really known, they are no doubt bigger offenders than any Dog the Bounty Hunter or Imus .

But, I also find it hard to understand why rappers and such can use this language and its fine but let others use it and its wrong.  Sure would like that one explained to me.  I do not like that foul language used at any time, but if you are going to sensor this then maybe you should start with cleaning everything from old movies, tv programs, rappers and the list is enless.

As far as what happened to the Jenna 6, that is the worst miscarriage of justice I have ever seen.  Looks to me like an over zealous and curiupt judge and prosecutor to say the least.  I sure hope proper justice is finally served for those young men.

I have watched Dog the Bounty Hunter since the beginning. My husband got so into the show that we couldn't watch anything else on Tuesday nights, and he is now even thinking about becoming a bounty hunter because of the good work that Dog does. I think that it is very sad that he said what he said, but he is human. We all are. I know that I have said things that I  wouldn't want anyone else to hear in private conversations. And that is what this was... it is only because he is who he is that we are making such a big deal of it. I don't want to see his show canceled. He has done SOOO much good for sooo many people. Why let one "slip of the tongue" in a private conversation stop him from doing what he does and being who he is? I am still proud to call myself a fan because of the GOOD that he has done, not the bad. WE ARE ALL HUMAN!

I just want to address your question of why "rappers" can say certain things but others cannot.  It is all about intent.  If you have a close relationship with someone and you truly like and care for them, you know what you can and can not say to them, correct?  In high school, I had several white friends I called the N-word (which by the way is just as offensive as just saying the word) and they called me it, too, as a sign of affection, not as a word of hate.  We were all very good friends and felt comfortable enough with each other to talk that way together, of course, people who were not in our group could not talk to us that way.  It is all about intent and what is meant when you say the word; and that goes for ANY word.  African -Americans also use the word to hurt each other, but everyone ignores that and just latch on to the times it is used as a term of endearment.  Honestly, I don't really expect anyone who is not a minority to understand this.

Wow!! I couldn't have said it better. I totally agree with you 100%! I too have watched Dog's show for quite some time now. I absolutely love it! He is such a respectful human being with a warm soul. The entire crew are great people. I listened to the recorded conversation numerous times and in my opinion it has been completely blown out of context in so many ways. And yes, why is it okay for rappers or other African American people to use that word but god forbid someone else use it?? That has NEVER made sense to me! I too think that Tucker just wanted to get back at his father and ruin him to gain the publicity. That is disgusting, shame on you Tucker!! And, now the girlfriend wants to sue Dog for slander??!! Oh give me a break you BRAT!! Your just like Tucker...money hungry! Get a life and leave Dog, Beth and their REAL family alone!!

DOG-I wish you the VERY best and I will ALWAYS support you. GOD BLESS!!

DOG'S SHOW SHOULD NOT BE CANCELED!!!!!!!!!
