The subject of rather mom needs to pay the money back. I would again say yes, if she knew that her husband had not fathered their child and she lied to him or simply chose not to tell all. If her intent was selfish and greedy...than most definitely 1/2 the money should be returned...and the nonfather shouldn't be expected to pay for the support of this child. The real dad should.
The subject of her wanting her daughter to be adopted by the new step father...shows that she as well has a problem with unconditional love.
Just wanting to clear up my earlier views. (It's a woman's perogative to change her mind, especially when the facts become clearer)
