Hey All

I'm so disgusted with myself. Early February I lost 15 pounds and as of yesterday I have managed to put it all back on.

I weigh 243, I am 5'4", I am going to give it another go. I do weight watchers and I was hoping I would find some friends and encouragement here.

I'll check back later.

I'm trying to figure out how this posting works so sorry. I just finished reading Dr. Phil's book before I started my diet. I've been doing well sticking to it. I've been exercising 4-5 x's a week on my tredmil for 30-60 minutes. I was very shocked to

We may be the only ones out here...but we can help each other.  I too am just starting...again.  I need to lose closer to 200 lbs and can't even see the tunnel let alone the light at the other end.  Don't give up....we can lean on each other, and both of us will be stronger.   Lisa
Do you mind if I join this group? I did Dr. Phils weight loss solution, but of course the story is been there done that. Lost 50 lbs. and regained it plus some. I know it works, but w/o support I can't do it. I work out at Curves for 30 minutes a day. I joined them in July and I have lost about 13 lbs. and about 13 inches, but I like the Dr. Phils change of life style approch better. I have his book and I have it on tapes also. I need to start back on it today since I found a group that is small and headed forward together.

know the feeling

I am 27 and also 100#+ overweight and have never not once that I remember have ever been thin or even smaller than a size 18.  I also just started the Dr.Phil weight loss solution book and it has me ready to start but it also says to finish the book before you start.  So this morning me and my husband got up at 5 in the morning and went to walk a mile and man was it easy.  Does anybody out there think dna and family have a lot to do with the way your body is.  Or is it really a personal choice, because I didn't and wouln't ever choose to be this overweight for anybody.  I don't want to look like a supermodel I just want to be able to go to a store an shop for normal clothes instead of asking where the plus size clothes are.

100 pounds to loose and just getting started - AGAIN!

Hey all, I am a 25 year old woman who is tipping the scales at 270 pounds. I have always been larger but not this large. I have in the last year put on nearly 50 pounds. I have tried everything. Weightwatchers, LAweightloss, Atkins.. and nothing really seems to work. I have an erratic schedule... I work nights. go to school fulltime days.. I am hoping to gain some sort of encouragement from you all on here..

Hi,

I too weigh 273lbs. I just started the 2 weeks rapid plan. It is difficult but I am determined to loose this weight. I'm tired of being overweight, feeling tireed all the time and cannot really do much around the house. I registered at Bally and I go there 3 days a week. I do cardi together with weight-lifting. I'm working on positive thinking to I encourage myself a lot. My husband is very supportive. I live in Columbus-Ohio. What state are you in.Lets keep pushing on.Wehave nothing to loose but the weight and I tell myself that even though I'm not loosing right away, at least I'm feeling much better because of the exercise so it is a good enough reason to keep going.

100 pounds to loose and just getting started - AGAIN!

hey everyone! I'll be starting it again.. not until january 4th or so though. I get my tonsils taken out and that will hurt, but if nothing else it will jumpstart a little bit of weight loss. I found a website that might help though, its called www.sparkpeople.com its free! it tracks calories and excercise.. even has a meal planner.. maybe that along with dr phil we can finally lose the weight.

has anyone read self matters? im starting to read that, thinkign that maybe it will help with my self esteem.. just wondering if anyone else has read it or not..

thanks!! have a great day everyone!

I just wanted to say hello everyone and also watched Dr Phil's show on the summer weight loss challenge.  I also am starting the program I have done well yesterday.  I have difficulty dealing with my emotions also I eat when I am happy, sad, depressed, and any other emotion.  I am keeping a journal to write down how I feel if I have the urge to eat.  It makes me more aware of my feelings and I realize I dont need to medicate myself with food.  I also have been reading the book Ultimate Weight loss.  I have started the 14 day rapid weight loss from the food guide.  I want to lose 30 lbs in the 90 days and continue after the 90 days to reach my goal of 145 lbs I have 135 lbs to lose.  I want to do it for myself to improve my health and be able to wear stylish clothes I am so tired of wearing the baggy shirts to cover up what I have.  I want to do this and no matter what if I don't do it now next year will be here and I will still weigh 280 or more.  A year is not very long especially when you are 50 they seem to go by much faster.  I am taking one day at a time by this time next year I want to be thinner and healthier for me I want to see my grandchildren grow up and be able to play with them and not sit and watch them play.  Good luck to everyone and keep up the good work YOU are all worth it and are deserving of being happy and healthy.

when I started dieting over a 2.5 years ago I had 160 lbs to lose.  I had lost my husband to cardiac arrest and I was left alone.  my son was on his own with his fiance and 2 children.  I did not depend on him to help me.  I knew if I wanted to live I had to lose weight.  my doctor put me in cardiac rehab to get a slow but managable start.  I had a dietician and diabeties nurse at my disposal.  I was put on 1200 cal a day diet.  it took me about 2 yrs to lose 60 lbs. I have since dropped out of cardiac rehab because of transportation problems.  I have started walking which I was unable to do at 262 lb.  when I was that weight I fell alot and got short winded easy.  I am now down to 204.  my doctor sees me every 3-4 months to monitor weight,  bp (which) I am on meds for and my diabetes.   I try to walk daily from 1-7 miles is the fartherest I have I have made it.  I keep in contact with cardiac rehab, but I feel I still am lacking that one on one support.  I live on the eastern shore of maryland and in my profile is all my info if you are interested.  I am just learning how to work the boards and may never find my way back.  I would like to weigh between 100-120 lbs.  I stand 4'11" and I am tired of being fat.  my doc says 150 lbs is as low as he wants me.  I will argue that when I get there.  folks can I count on some support here,  I know I am not getting it else where like I feel I need it.  my user name is gaball but please call me grace.  hope to hear from someone soon.
