I'm Pregnant!

Quote From: mammaamia

Lucas Gabriel made his arrival August 28,2005. Even though I wasn't due until 9/12/2005 the Dr. thought doing the C-section early was best due to some BP issues. Lucas' weight at birth was 8lbs 12oz and was 20 in long. Alll the kids are happy and going great, though their ready for Mommy and Lucas to come home. Ryleigh started kindergarten a couple weeks ago , Abigail started Pre-K, and Aidan is in early childhood 1/2 a day everyday. Peyton is 11 months old now and started to walk last week! Abigail(my step daughter) is living w/us full time now and we are planning on me adopting her soon. My 16 yr old sister in law is stay with Jess and I and has decided to keep her baby that is due in november! Just wanted to update, hope everyone is doing good.
CONGRATS!!!!! Your life sounds soooooo exciting! :)

Hey! I'm 21 (22 on Sept. 17th) and I'm due October 7th! Everyone thinks I'm having a boy too! What are your feelings on being a first time Mom at our age? Have people been supportive for you? Are you getting anxious of your upcoming arrival? I know I can't wait to have this baby! I'm so done with being pregnant!

Happy, confused, excited, worried...

I am 35 and pregnant with out first child.  I have so many emotions!!!  I suffered from severe depression and other mental illnesses for all of my teen and adult life.  The love of my life came back into my life after ten long years of being apart.  When we decided to marry and have kids, I was told by my psychiatrist that I would have to get off all of my psch meds(except one) and I was on five.  Actually I have done well considering all that life has thrown my way.

Well I am in my 15th week.  I have high blood pressure and have since I was 18yo.  They have me on meds but it is still jumping up there, so in three weeks I am going to a maternal fetal medicine doctor and will have another ultra-sound done, which is okay with me because we will find out the sex!

My husband and I are thrilled, but everyone in my life is so worried due to B/P issues and my age.  Like I said, my emotions are just way out of wack.  Yet I am happy, I've waited for this all of my life, and with all the bad my family has experienced over the past couple of years, God has to send us something good!

Just want to write and say that I hope all is going well for you and your baby.

I know what it's like to be in a High Risk Pregnancy, as I was 32 when I had my daughter, but also I'm Diabetic and when I got to 35 weeks along my Blood Pressure when up alot and was put on med's for that.

For most of my pregnancy I was going to the High Risk Anti-natal Clinic every Tuesday. I would have to see a Diabetic Specialist and or sometimes the OBGYN as well. When I did get to 35 weeks and my Blood Pressure was up I was put into hospital and they ran blood tests to see if I had Preclamicpa. Luckily I didn't as I would have had to have my baby right away.

All I can say to you, is to try as best as you can to lower your stress levels and make sure you listen to your body. If you need to rest then do so. Just take things a day at a time and see how you go.

I wish you and your little one all the very best and please TAKE GOOD CARE, LOVE KELLY.

How much longer?

Hey everyone!

Just curious how long everyone has to go now? Anyone getting close?? How are you feeling??

I had a doctor's appointment yesterday. I have 22 days till my due date, however my doctor is certain that I won't make it that long! I have an ultrasound this evening, and then we can see just how far along I am. The doctor thinks my due date maybe a bit off, so we'll see!?

I am definately ready to deliver and am feeling quite anxious as each day goes by. I have been having problems falling asleep at night, just because I am so excited! Anyone else feel like this??

I hope all of you are doing well!

Hope you like the sound of that, Mum-to-be!! Seen as very soon you will be a Mum and a very good one at that, I'm sure!!

I'm not pregnant, but I do have a 3 year old daughter. So I know what it's like to be pregnant and yes as the time comes closer to giving birth, your body and mind goes through alot of different feelings and thoughts. Yes, now is the time where your body gets very big and uncomfortable and just trying to get a good night's sleep is hard especially if your little one decides to stay awake most of the night and have dance classes inside your belly or even if he/she has the hiccups for hours on end!!

It is an exciting but sometimes scary time now, as you know what lays ahead of you. Giving birth to a beautiful child and then looking after that beautiful little baby. I know I had the thoughts of, "Would I be able to look after this baby and will I be good Mum." But also there are the scary thoughts of not being a good enough Mum. We all have these thoughts and feelings, especially if we are first time Mum's, but the good news is, We just are good Mum's and things just seem to come together when we need them to, if you can understand that.

Afew things to think about and do, first off make sure that you get lots of rest now, listen to your body when it's says to slow down. Make sure you have everything ready now for when the little one comes home from Hospital, as you don't want leave everything till the last minute and go into labor early and then not have his/her bedroom set up. And more importantly just take things a day at a time and relax and breath!!

I just want to wish you all the very best with your new life with your beautiful little one that will be coming into this world very shortly. I know that from the moment he/she is put on your belly your life will never be the same and you will never want it to be the same ever again. You will fall in love with that beautiful baby and you will never look back from there. God Bless you and yours, please TAKE CARE. LOVE KELLY.

Dear Kelly,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write that! I am definately big and uncomfortable and it is so hard to get a good night's sleep! I am making sure I sleep whenever I am tired, even if that means in the middle of the day!

Thank you for the inspiration that I will be a good Mom! I definately get nervous when I think about it, but I know everyone must have these fears! It's good to know that people do have these thoughts besides myself!

Our baby's room is fully ready and we have everything we need! My hospital bag is even packed! Thank you for all the well wishes!

We found out at the ultrasound that the baby is a boy! So little Brody will be arriving anytime now! We will know tomorrow evening at the doctor's whether he is further along than expected.  I'm so excited!! God Bless you and your wonderful daughter!

Take care!
