NY Search Assistance...

Quote From: joanie412

HI, while I love my family very much and they are the only family I know I feel I have a right to know my biological family.  I have always wanted to know ever since I can remember. I was told at a very young age that I was adopted. My family was/is loving and kind. Both adoptive parents have passed away.

I was born 04/12/1960, Sheila Marie Lane, Booth Memorial Hosp Queens, NY, My bmom was 22 at the time of my birth. I was adopted through Talbot Perkins Adoption Agency in NYC.  I am registered with Albany DOH and rec'd non identifying info which wasn't much help, I found out she was 22 and I am caucasion (as if that was a shock!) I am also registered with ISRR and all other regerstries I have been able to find. Any info I would be enternally grateful.

Thank you

My daughter in law was adopted in Memphis TN through a Christian Adoption Agency called AGAPE.  She has all the information on her birth mother such as name, birthdate etc.  Her adopted mother has told a story that her birth mother did not want to give her up but could not handle the challenge as she was told the birth mother was slow.  My daughter in law is now pregnant and just wanted to get in touch with her birth mother to see maybe what her side of the family looks like so she cant look at her child and see her mother or her father or a grandparents resemblences.   Her adopted mother has two natural children that are older than my daughter in law and they still live at home over the age of 20 and my daughter in law has been treated as if she is the bad child in the family for many years, she said she has been told that she has almost been the cause of her parents divorce etc.  Her birth mother had to be begged into coming to her graduation, wedding and now the birth of her first grandchild - my daughter in law just wants to know if there is a chance that her birth mother would treat her differently as if she is important knowing that she didnt want to give her up in the first place, there is that chance.  We have emailed Agape for instructions on where to start but no response.  Can anyone help?

I will be happy to help you in your search for your daughter-in-laws first mom.  Please write to me privately to provide me the info yu do have.  I will be happy to look on my paid databases for contact information to send you.

My brother was born John Edward Mitchell May 30 or 31 1960 in Boston Massachusettes to Joan Mitchell & Pete Fox. I have spent countless hours on line searching adoption websites and registering. How do I go about finding more information about Massachusettes adoptions from the late 50's & early 60's? I can be contacted at utahgrown43@yahoo.com with any information any one can provide.  Thank you!

I am searching for my BIRTHMOTHER.  My name now is NICHOLE, it was NOEL when I was born.  My DOB is 12/19/1985.  I was born in SIOUX CITY, IOWA in WOODBURY CNTY.  I was born at ST LUKES REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER.  The attending physician was J.L. BRISTOW.  I only have non-identifying information.  I was adopted through CATHOLIC CHARITIES in CARROLL, IA.  I would appreciate any sort of help anyone could give.  My adoption was a closed one so I know this will be hard, if not impossible but I can't help but try:(

Useful Information...

Hi all!!

With each search comes a variety of information that is available.  Some have less, some have more to work with.

Please be sure to register on the following sites no matter how much information you have.  Be sure to make copies and keep all log-in information in a notebook so that you can update information as you become aware of it.  Be sure to always sign a waiver or notarized letter (to allow the release of identifying information to the other party) with the state or agency that handled the adoption.

It is vital to keep everyone informed of new names (in case you have been married), phone numbers, addresses and e-mails.  Many "matches" go un-connected due to outdated information...

Adopted in San Antonio, TX.

Hello.

I was born in San Antonio, TX. on June 4th., 1971. I was adopted by my mexican parents and lived in Mexico for quite some years.

I found out I was adopted one day that my dad left his safe open. What a surprise. I was in shock, but could not stop reading all this info. I was 24 years old when this happened and never occurred to me that I was adopted, since my dad is white and not a typical mexican (european descent, spanish and french).

He soon new that the adoption papers were missing. He told me the whole story.

I'm named after him and gave me a great life, from the moment they (mom and dad) adopted me and would not have wish it any other way. I have 2 brothers (biological sons from my adopted parents) and they see no difference.

In any case, since I moved back to the US, it's been more his idea (my dad), than mine. We want to find if my bio-parents are alive and perhaps meet them. Do I have any biological brothers or sisters?

Thanks for your time.

I was adopted when I was 5 years old. I am now 20 almost 21. I've known most of my life. At 5 years old it doesn't really register to you so I was about 8 years old when I fully understood it. But I would like to find my birth parents. I know a last name and I was adopted in NH and I still live in NH how do I look for them? I've been wanting to search for a couple of years now but never knew how so if any one does know how please let me know on this site that you are reading it on. Thanx.

Linda Levesque

Quote From: cmflanders

I always loved that book as a child.  I just never realized that someday I would be asking that question.

I was born in Manchester, NH on September 12, 1969 at Sacred Heart Hospital.  I was then placed through Catholic Charities and adopted on December 3, 1969.  My adoptive parents have always been so wonderful to me.  They raised me to be a respectful and caring individual and I believe they have succeeded!

I have never really had a burning desire to find my birth Mother until this year.  All of my friends would ask me and I would just tell them "someday".  Well that day has come.

I have started to put my feelers out and there are some people I know that grew up in Manchester that would be my Mother's age.  So far I have hit nothing but dead ends.  Just when I think there is a break, it's nothing.

I sent away for my original birth certificate a couple of months ago.  It became public record back in January of 2005 but I never pursued.  When I received that in the mail I just cried.  It was like I realized that I have a biological tie to someone.  Whether she is still with us or not.  My name was changed by my adoptive parents.  Her name is on the certificate but my father's is not.

I was born Stephanie Ann Levesque and my Mother's name at the time was Linda Marie Levesque.  She was born in Maine.  She was 18 when she had me.  She finished high school.

It's almost like she has vanished.  I really just want to see who I might look like and get some medical information.  If she wants nothing to do with me I would understand.  I don't want to barge into her life if her family doesn't know.  But I think I deserve answers and information.

This may be a long shot but I wanted to put this out there just in case someone might know her or someone who knows her or knew her then.

I am hopeful...

Hope you have already found her, but if not, I have found a Linda Levesque, age 56, from NH area, but with a different middle name and obviously a different last name.  If you want the information, e-mail me and I will send it to you.

Susan
