Searching for Birth Parents

My name's Courtney, I was born in '92. I've met my mom, she stayed with my adoptive family and I for a few days with her husband (not my dad) and her son (not my older brother). I have no info on my dad whatsoever, and I'm too shy to ask my birth mom myself.

ISO Rita Christine 6/1980 Plainview N.Y.

I have been looking for my adopted daughter for quite some time now, but here in NY with all of the privacy laws I keep hitting brick walls. My daughter is now 28 yrs old, she was born 6/1980 with the name Rita Christine, in Central General Hospital, Plainview NY in the county of Nassau. Since that day I have always felt a void in my life, I have 2 great kids now with a beautiful wife of almost 18 yrs, and they support me in trying to find Rita Christine. If you can find it in your heart to help please do so.

I have posted information on just about every web site there is concerning adoptions and looking for, I have complete strangers helping me look up leads through the internet and still nothing. My wife and I just do not have the money to hire a Private Investigator, so i write here for help. If there is anyone out there who is able to find adopted children and is willing to help please contact me.

Thank You,

Albert DeStefano

THINK I FOUND MY SISTER

Quote From: cjwhetsell

Let me know what you need, I would so much like to find any information on family...Thank You

I think I have finally found my sister. After four years of search and bothering half of the state of Texas I am 90% positive that I have found her.

She is a professor a TTU. I have tried to contact her. Hoping that she was told that she was adopted. I really hate it when people have no idea that they are adopted. She sure looks like mother. Hope she wants to meet us. I saw lots of pictures of her.

Wish us luck. I sent another letter out today just in case she did not get the email. Might need to fly out there. What does one say to a sister that they have never met??

searching

I am searching for my birth mother/father/family.  I have been driven to find the truth for as long as I can remember, even as a child I would look through my parent's files trying to find some clue as to where I had come from.  I know many adoptees don't have a strong desire to "know", but for some, myself included, it is a necessity.  At every juncture in my life I have felt the void, it is the only area where I cannot find peace.  I am hoping that others who have embarked on the journey to discover their past will have some insight and can offer guidance.

I believe I was born in Kokomo, Indiana (Howard County) on or around April 3, 1970, and came to live with my adoptive parents approx. 10 days later.  I also believe that the adoption was handled through an agency.  I have registered with the Indiana State registry and others online.

Any advice is welcome.  Thank you.  I hold everyone who is searching in my thoughts.

Looking for Mike & Jeff

I was adoped in Michigan when I was 10 months old. I have since found my birth mother and 2 birth sisters. I also have 2 half brothers I dearly want to find. I believe they were born in North Dakota around the late 1950's. Their names are Michael Lee & Jeffrey Keith Blair. Their birth mother's name is Ada, but I do not know their father's name. If anyone knows of them, tell them they have a 56 year old half sister in Nashville, TN looking for them.

Thank you!

Looking for Fathers birth parents

I have been trying to find my Fathers birth parents or anyone related to them. My Father was adopted in the state of Missouri where he was the only one who had access to the records. He wanted to find his parents but his adopted mother would not hear to it. My Father died when I was thirteen years old. Can anyone give me any information on how to find them. I know he was born at the Fairmont Hospital in Jackson County Missouri.

YOU ARE PROBABLY RIGHT

Quote From: carolpruitt

I too was adopted and located my birth parents when I was 21. That event changed many peoples lives and frankly not for the good. Remember, some people do not wish to tell their children that are adopted because they want that child to be bonded with them and their family. I don't agree or disagree, but when you mess with peoples lives and values be prepared to accept the results.

IT TURNS OUT THAT THIS WOMAN THAT I SPOKE WITH AND WAS CLEARLY ADOPTED, DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE MY SISTER.

GUESS I AM GLAD THAT I DID NOT TELL HER THAT SHE WAS ADOPTED.

I THINK I HAVE FINALLY FOUND MY SIBLING. NOW  THE QUESTION IS..WAS SHE TOLD THAT SHE WAS ADOPTED?

HERE I AM IN THIS SAME PICKLE AGAIN.

SHE SURE LOOKS LIKE MOTHER.

I HAVE TRIED TWICE TO CONTACT HER. NO REPLY. I WILL OF COURSE KEEP TRYING BECAUSE I AM STUBBORN AS A MULE.

THIS IS NOT EASY FOR ANYONE.

I AM TRYING TO REMAIN CALM BUT AM ANXIOUS AFTER 4 YEARS OF LONG HARD WORK. I WANT TO RUN UP AND HUG HER.

HOW CAN IT BE BAD WHEN YOU JUST WANT TO LOVE SOMEONE WHO IS FAMILY?

Searching for my son

Hi everyone

I am a birth parent I started the search for my son in April of 2008 after a 21 year wait.

Let me tell you a bout what has happened to me.

I was rapped when I was 15 yrs old and got pregnant from the rape I had a perfect baby boy I kept him for 6 to 7 months I was in a foster home and had no family support  my dad blamed me for the rape so I decided to put my son up for adoption. I started my search for him April of this year I hired a company called Givenright.

The lady that owns the company has lied to me ignored my emails  phone calls and text messages.

In May she called me and told me she found my son and would be making contact with him that day,she called me back later the same day and said she had talk to him and he was excited. She told me about him where he lived and all that, I ask her to give him my contact info when he called her back I was told by her that she could not do that until she received my final payment I sent it to her and  He never got my info and I did not get his info. I tried from May until June to contact her. When I finally got a hold of her she told me that she would send me his info that day or first thing the next morning 4 weeks or so went by and i still had not gotten the info.

It is now July and I got some info but the two stories she game me are do different and I have no way to verify the info that she has given me.

I would not recommend this company to any one I have slept very little and I am tear most of the time

I feel like I have been raped all over again by this company the owner. I can not get my money back and she will not finish my search.

This was supposed to be an exciting time and she has destroyed it .

So please think twice before you use Givenright I don't want any one to be hurt like they have hurt me

Sincerely Jackie
