Losing 60 pounds gaining a pituitary tumour

I finally got myself together after many years of being very overweight.
I prayed for God to give me the courage and strenght to endure this long trip to 'freedom and health'.
Then I started losing the weight, but my body started sagging like an empty balloon.
And then the doctors discovered that I suffered from a tumour in the pituitary gland, causing the ilness 'Acromegaly' and my whole body whas still growing. (Too much growth hormone).
My skin had also kept on growing, my bones, muscles, soft tissues, everything!

So instead of looking better after all my effort, I started looking like a male version of myself, with deep wrinkles and severe sagging skin all over me... I hated this, I didn't expect THIS to happen?
Now, after a long period of hospital treatments, brainsurgery and still not having the disease under control, facing irradiaton therapy, I don't even know why I should even try getting the weight back off again, which I had lost in the last couple of years. I've gained almost 40 pounds back on, not all fat, but also because of the disease.
Knowing that even without all the weight, I'm still not healthy, and looking even worse then before, I don't know what to do anymore, or where to start.

I had a financial approval by my insurance to get an abdominoplasty, but because of the disease, I'm not allowed to be operated on until it's under control.
And with a flat belly, the rest of my sagging me is going to look even more horrible... I feel I'm stuck either way. And we don't have the money to finance my complete renovation after all this!
Besides, if the disease never gets under control (10 - 30% chance) I will have to live with this body for the rest of my life. It's hard and I don't know what to do.

I wanted to let you all know about a wonderful site I have been using.  It is www.sparkpeople.com  It is an awesome site.   I have lost 38 pounds and have about 70 more to go.  This site has helped me tremondously!  And it is absolutely free!

I am 49 years old and have decided to do something about my weight.  Sometimes I think, well you are almost 50, forget about your weight, just eat like you want to, you are too old to start anything now!  But then I tell myself how miserable I am being overweight and I want to live a much longer life to enjoy my grandchildren when I have some.  This site really helps me to stay motivated.  Check it out!

I HAVE HYPOTHYROIDISM AND I AM FRUSTRATED

I HAVE HYPOTHYROIDISM, IT WAS FIRST MISSED DIAGNOSED 4 YEARS AGO. I FINALLY HAVE IT UNDER CONTROL WITH MEDICATION AFTER 7 CHANGES IN THE MEDS AND COUNTLESS BLOOD TESTS. NOW I WANT TO LOOSE THE WEIGHT THAT I HAVE GAINED (100LBS) I HAVE PURCHASED 3 DIET BOOKS FOR THYROID DISEASE AND ALL 3 PRETTY MUCH TELL ME THE WEIGHT WILL NOT COME OFF EASILY, (WHICH I KNEW). UNLESS I HAVE A CHEMISTRY DEGREE AND TAKE ALL KINDS OF SUPPLEMENTS (NOT HAPPENING) OR EXERCISE FOR 1HR EVERYDAY. OK I CAN GET TO THE GYM 3 TIMES A WEEK. SO IF THAT'S NOT ENOUGH WHAT ELSE CAN I DO. I HAVE DONE THE CALORIE COUNT THING & THE EXERCISE FOR 4 MONTHS STRAIGHT. HA, THANK YOU FOR THE 10 LBS. HAS ANYONE FOUND ANYTHING THAT WORKS EVEN WHEN YOUR METABOLISM DOESN'T??? PLEASE HELP??? I AM BEGINNING TO THINK LYPO IS THE ONLY WAY THIS IS COMING OFF. I WOULD BE HAPPY JUST DROPPING 50LBS. ANY ADVICE IS WELCOME  THANKS  DENISE

Girl there is nothing wrong with being smart, and your are 16 yrs old you do not need a boyfriend becasue you got to discover how your are and what you want to do with your life.  focus on yourself and not on boy then when you know how you are then you will be ready for a man and you will be a gift and treasture. On as far as the wight find something that you like to do and do that ok, and remmber most high school boys probley still should be in day care. If that help if not I am sorry.

Hi I understand where you are coming from I have been married 11 years and have gained 80 pounds I am always embarassed about my weight as I am 5"3 248pounds. I have all the weight loss solution info but I had a hard time following all the keys I am now however doing a study getting to the root of the problem and letting God have control of it. I know one thing, it is a long process that cannot be rushed. My first step is 301- 3 meals a day-0 nothing in between and 1 day at a time. I also am doing water areboics 3 x a week. Staying motivated is difficult for me so my solution this year is to keep my 2 buddies close by for accountability and to encourage them. We are doing a study called true images.
