You’ve seen her take Dr. Phil’s hand after every show and walk him off stage. You’ve heard her input on parenting, empty nest syndrome and menopause. Today, Robin shares the stage with Dr. Phil to celebrate the release of her debut book Inside My Heart: Choosing to Live with Passion and Purpose. Follow Robin’s poignant journey as she travels back to her childhood roots and gives a glimpse into the life-changing moments that helped her become an empowered woman. She talks candidly about her father’s alcohol addiction, and also about her mother’s tragic death. Then, five of Robin’s biggest fans are waiting backstage and have no idea what’s in store for them! Plus, meet a young woman who says she regrets becoming a mother and thinks about just walking away. Robin gives her advice on coping with post-pregnancy blues. And, actress Morgan Fairchild helps Robin kick off a very important campaign for women! Talk about the show here.

A Fan Of Both Of Them

Good Evning everyone I just saw the show a little over Two hours ago. And I had no idea that Robin was even writing a book. GOOD FOR HER! I wish her the best of luck and I want to wish Phil luck on his up and coming show on the 18th. I look foward to see how The Dr Phil House turns out. I am also sure that Robin's book is going to be a great hit I hope myself to read it myself. If anyone tell me how much the book is? I'm guessing around 13 bucks but thats just a rough guess. Anyone here plan on entring the Fabulous at 50 contest? I'm not I'm only 34 but I would if I was. Well all I can say is good luck to them both and God Bless you and your family. Bye for now Shortylock,Tina,.............

Lola

While you are feeling sorry for yourself Lola, and making up excuses for your behavior, not awake during the birth, post baby weight, etc.  Why don't you take a moment and think about all the mothers out there who have lost their baby/child.  I think you are a selfish person, longing for sympathy and attention.  There is nothing I wouldn't give to hold my son in my arms again, nothing.  Think about that Lola.

    what she wears??

    Quote From: threeburrs

I'm glad you wrote the book and I'm sure you give a lot of good advice.  I just question that since you have become a role model for a lot of other women and especially the younger women, should you be a little more conservative with the way you dress.
I think that Robin McGraw is at the top of the list of classy, contemporary and most of all modest in her appearance.  Given what we have to see many others on tv wear, I think Robin should be seen as a model of good taste.  I have never seen her wearing anything that most would find questionable - I don't understand your comment at all.

I think that you show an alarming amount of rudeness.

I know exactly how Lola feels. I wasn't really "there" when my daughter was born and my pregnancy was a nightmare from about 6 weeks until my 30th week when I was so sick my daughter had to be taken by emergency c-section. She and I are healthy and happy and I adore her, but I too had trouble bonding with her for the first year or so.

Just because you have suffered something terrible doesn't invalidate another persons horrible experience.

    Think about that.

    Baby Formula

    Robin,

I just heard you describe feeding your baby diluted baby formula. I sent my husband to the store and he brought back the kind you are SUPPOSED to dilute, only I didn't dilute it, so I was not starving my girl, but I was giving her baby formula shakes for two days. She was so lathargic and just layed there. I couldn't figure it out. I was in line at the store to buy some more, when I took a good look at the can and started balling when I read the bright yellow strip that said "must dilute". !!!

We rushed her to the ER to make sure I hadn't poisoned her, she was fine!

    Nancy

May you have excellent success on your book!

    Fresh Perspective

I just saw "Robin's" show, and can't wait to read her book.  When I heard about the 'Fifty and Fabulous' search, I was disappointed that I can't apply, because I'm only 48.  Do you have any idea how wonderful it felt when I realized I was disappointed about being too young!!!  Let's just say, it's been a while.  So I just wanted to say thanks for putting a big smile on my face.  And Robin, you will be fabulous at any age.  You do more than you know.  (That guy you hang out with isn't so bad either!)

    Poor Mom

    Quote From: gratefulmom

I WAS WATCHING THE SHOW AND COULD REALLY UNDERSTAND THE POOR MOM. i HAVE HAD TWO C-SECTIONS AND IT IS HARDER TO BOND WITH YOUR BABY. tHE SHOCK TO YOUR SYSTEM CAN REALLY WREAK HAVOC ON YOUR EMOTIONS AND HORMONES. sHE NEEDS TO BE IN TOUCH WITH HER OB-GYN ASAP FOR HELP. ROBIN WAS RIGHT ON THERE. Her husband needs to be more involved as well, they are a family and every member needs to help out. he helped to create this little boy., You cannot put a time limit on recovering from childbirth . This poor mom desperately needs a break., before she breaks down. C"mon family, lend a hand here.
I know exactly how this poor mom feels. Thank god she has Robin and Phil in her corner now. Being a mother is so haaaard! It is a full-time job with overtime on it's own ,yet we feel we have to have to do everything else full-time with overtime also. I feel like she does more than once a day.
I think if every one of us had supportive people like Dr.Phil and Robin in our lives, we would make less mistakes, feel wanted and cared for.
I totally blame the lack of caring people in my life for all the mistakes and stupid things I have done. It started when I was born so I just continued it my whole life. Bad habits are hard to break, but the more I realize it the more I know I cant stay alone. i have a very supportive fiance(for once a good person!) but I cannot put my whole weight on him.
I really think all of us need to look for people with the personalities of Phil and Robin and keep them in our corner. I think we should try to be those people that other persons need.
Can you imagine how much the world could change if we all just accepted or offered help?
Unrealistic thinking I know, but of all the people's lives we see changed on Dr.Phils shows I remain hopeful.
What us unrealistic is that everyone will meet Robin or Phil so that is why I say we need to step on and be somebody else's rock.
Being tough and being alone does not work. Sure people get by...but why just get by when you can get by and actually enjoy life?
I kow I am tired of going through like like a robot!
