Hey all I am 24 and am really over weight I am five foot tall and weigh 250 pounds My lowest weight was 136 and this is the highest I have ever been. I plan on joining curves at the end of the month when I get back from a cruise. I would love to keep in touch with people from around here. I have been married for 4 years and that is when I went from 150 to 250 in the past four years.  I  HATE the way I look but I like exercising once I get into it. I don't have any children my husband and I have been trying for almost three years now. This is one reason for wanting to loose the weight and to fell better.    Nice to chat with you all

I can't afford a membership to a fitness club but I have done the national body challenge and it allows a free 8 week pass to Bally's. I would like to have a motivator as well. I need someone to help me out and would like a walking buddy if possible. I have a 8 month old daughter and I have a hard time getting us out of the house to walk.

Hi,

Sorry my response took so long!  I had a bit of a problem re-finding this message board.  I hope your time with Weight Watchers proves successful for you.  I've known several people who have lost a lot of weight with the support of this program.  I go to a gym here in Lawrence, and I'm trying to get back to my old habits of eating healthy and exercising more.  I'm 28 years old, 5'5", 230 pounds.  My husband is the opposite, 6'3", 155 lbs!  I'd like to get down to at least 160.  I lost 80 pounds back in 1996, right before going to college.  I used a super low-fat diet, no snacking, Richard Simmons' videos, and fast walking to do that.  Now, I don't watch my diet as much and fast-food options are always nearby in this town.  I gained back most of my weight, although I have a lot more muscle now, which makes my clothes about 3 sizes smaller than in early 1996.  I started back at the gym in June 05, but it does no good if I can't stop cheating on my diet.  Other than losing 70+ pounds, I also want to be able to job at least 4 miles without dying by the end of this year.  Running is pretty painful with my big rear jiggling!  I wish you the best of luck as you begin this process.  I remember a wall-hanging that my great-grandmother had at her house.  It said :"Today is the first day of the rest of your life."  Pretty obvious statement, but I want to make today a good start, rather than slacking off like I have been.  Here's to proving everyone wrong and laughing in the face of those who doubt us!!!  Take care!

Good Evening!

I'm 55, overweight and frustrated.  I'm a stay-at-home housewife that desperately needs to lose at least 125 lbs.....Would love to at least have an email buddy that can hang in there with me for the long haul!
