Dr. Phil and crew...a request that you make some reference to the Michael Jackson interview last night. He has three kids that will be totally screwed-up without some intervention. And what about parents allowing their kids to sleep in his room. Dr. P you need to say something!!!

I so agree with Joe. I too watched very distressingly as Michael Jackson was interviewed and oh man, what a mess! Like Joe said, what are other people's kids doing in his or any other persons bed for that matter? With all the negative publicity that Michael has against him, why would he take that kind of risk and bring other children in his bed weather he is quilty or not, it just show's poor judgement. Unfortunatly, I have a feeling deep down that there is something going on there that is far from "kosher". Where is his wife in all this? What I see when I see Michael is a broken grown man trying to live his childhood through other children and yes, I think what he's doing is way outta line and should be investigated. I heard from another source that Gloria Alred is looking into it. We shall see but in the meantime, we need to pray that these parents will wise up and protect their children!

He is divorced from Debra Rowe and he said she gave all custody to him. The kids told the interviewer, they have no mommy.
Micheal was made to feel bad about his looks growing up. He was an adorable kid. I thought he was so cute during the "Off the Wall" albumn and on the cover of the "Thriller" albumn. Don't know who the mom of Prince Michael II is.

I have loved Michael Jackson since we are both teenagers. With his innocence and phenomonental talent, I survived the teen years unscathed now have an independent scowling, at "risk", super, intellent teenage boy.
Please tell Michael to finally be himself and enjoy the company of adults. The joy of children will be tri-fold, once he is happy with his sexuality, himself and life in general, he will have the confidence to be himself.
Good luck, Michael, may God be with you!

I grew up watching and listening to the Jackson 5 as well. I think people need to understand that he alledgedley came from an abused and/or dysfunctional family. So many of us have had similar circumstances that have made us pay throughout our lives with guilt, doubt or some sort of emotional scar. I see him as an disturbed man which in his eyes he sees the world so differently that to him, everything he does is OK. Well, some of us know different and some of us choose to find justification in there own way.

I agree with you telmita that he must be messed up with how he was raised. Just observing Latoya you can see that it's a family thing however, I still feel he needs to be investigated. I'm also concerned about covering the childrens faces while their in public. Yes, he might be trying to "protect"their identity but really, I think this is going to make them grow up feeling somehow ashamed. It's reminicent of the women in Afganistan and how they are treated.

With all the dysfunctional families in our world today, who claims to have the perfect and normal family? Why cannot we just keep our noses to our own problems and let Michael keep to his own as well.

Kerrijan.. I totally agree with you. I have watched the MJ special and I felt really bad for him. Everything has a consequence and the awful treatment by his father is what shaped him into the person he is today. Frankly, it is nobody's business how many surgeries he has had,(nor does he have to justify anything with proof) or the deal with his kids or invited guests. As for the children who sleep over, it is the PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY to look after them. If they have no problem with them staying with MJ, no one else should. If anything, the parents should be asked about it. It's not up to the public to be judge and jury.
Give michael a break already. He is a unique person and I personally dont agree with his lifestyle, BUT, it is HIS lifestyle and in America he can live how he wants too.
How would you feel in his place where the whole world had nothing better to do than to scrutinze and judge your every move?
Have some compassion people.

the reason we can't keep our nose in our own problems is because Michael has a certain respectably to his fan to act and be a good roll model, this is part of being in the publie eye ,and there are certain things that are not valid, in the way he conduct himself ,Think about it if your neighbor, had your son over to spend the night would you want your son to sleep with him or her,I am not saying Michael did anything , but act in a very inappropriate manner.

I feel sadly for anyone who actually belives they have the perfect family and home life.
We all have our issues to deal with..so lets deal with our own first and stop picking one out of the bunch to accentuate on.

Michael has some serious issues and in need of some therapy. I would think the president of the united stated would have to be more concern with the safety of his child as would other famous people. What kind of mother gives her childern to a man like this and says he is a wonderful father. How would she know. What will it do to these kid's self estem to be hidden behind mask and be told they have no mother. They do have a mother she just is'nt any better at being a mom than michael is at being a dad . He has these childern so secluded who knows what he is doing to them. God have mercury on those poor kids.

We all have some serious issues in our lives to take care of. Why give the media so much positive attention by putting Michael out in the circle and acting like we all have our lives together? I guess he has not had a hard enough life, that we have to keep scrutinizing his because ours is perfect.

You ask yourself "How would she know??"...but you know what....How would YOU know if he's a good dad or not???
YOU don't know it either...and i think that the mother knows it better then us..
YOU don't know Michael Jackson....YOU never met Michael Jackson....YOU don't live with Michael Jackson....so don't make a statement about a person when you don't actually know that person!!!

I am so glad that someone else feels it is important for a professional psychologist to comment on the Michael Jackson interview. Not only in regards to his children but to possibly shed some light on why he is so screwed up. His appearance and behavior are disturbing but, I feel in an incredibly sad way. I think that if someone or something does not reach this man it will be his own demons that will "screw-up" his children. Ironically, he feels the way he is raising them will enable them to grow up to normal and well adjusted adults. I'm sure his Father thought the same thing.

Didn't you see though, that this Dad had a great "Ah Hah Moment" on Phil's show?? Or better, using his own word, this dad had a "Wow Moment"!! I didn't think this dad was that bad at all. If he was such a know-it-all, would he come on the show for advice? Also, he clearly also came around when he said "Wow!" after Phil suggested: Why don't you just go in you son's room - making your way thru the mess to his bed - plop down and throw some ball with him? To me it seemed that to this dad, it just hadn't occurred that that is a way to connect and after that connection, he and his son can understand each other better and find common ground. Following that may even be that his son will clean his room voluntarily just to please his stephdad because he likes him so much. Lady, you could give this guy some more credit! Peggy.

I cannot belive how messed up this society is with its so called norms and all..yet we have the audacity to pick out one man..because he is famous and has problems as we all do. but we seem to belive Michaels issues are just so extraordinary?
I guess this country will just fall apart if Micheal does not get the help he needs eh.

Where were the parents?

My question is where were the kids parents? Why did they leave their child with Michael? Michael may (and I hope)is innocent of the charges. I do think he is using poor judgement. But the parents are reponsible for their children. If their was even a question that improper behavior might be involved the parents should have kept their kids at home.

This whole situation with Michael Jackson makes me cringe. Having endured a physically and emotionally abusive relationship, I seem to be sensative to abuse of all sorts. I beleive that the things he is doing are nothing less than abuse, just of a different nature. Michael is the "adult" in these relationships and he should be the one to set the limits. Do all of you out there agree?
