Thank you for the heart warming show , it truly touched my heart, and the emotion came right thru the screen. I am home for now but will deploy again in the next few months for my second tour in Iraq and it makes me glad to know there are so many people who care and are praying for us and our families. Thank you, Sgt. and Mrs. Erwin

Dr. Phil and Robin,
Thank you so much for the wonderful show that you put on for the military family members I too cried thru the whole thing. I am a spouse to a US ARMY SGT and he is once again deployed during Christmas, we have 3 children ages 8, 7 and 2. I just found out that our soldiers arent getting mail and am just heart broken that our soldiers from the 25th ID are spending time away from family and because of some glitch they wont be getting their Christmas Boxes, I know its irrelevent to this thread but it warms my heart that y'all support us so much, I just wish the military did so too.

I just wanted to let you know that as the wife of a fallen soldier your generosity is greatly appreciated. You do not know how much it means to me to see that someone is looking out for those children whose fathers are still out there putting thier lives at risk for all of us. Thank you Dr. Phil and Robin! The Wilson-Mulkey Family in Texas

Hi Dr Phil and Robin you are awesome people, so down to earth which is refreshing and the celebritism has not gone to your heads. We need more people like you in the world...giving with your hearts and with such compassion, empathy and understanding. What you did for the military families was generous and will be something the kids and parents will remember for a long time. Your home was just beautiful and seemed to be enjoyed by all. Your show is fantastic and inspirational, honest to goodness reality tv at its best, you're helping millions of people all over the country. It's good to see Robin more involved with the show this year. And it's also nice to see your sons pop in every so often and join in on the fun of the show and being there with their parents. You are both such caring people and obviously very much in love. Thank you for being such fantastic role models to all of us and setting an example of how a family can be and things can be accomplished in our lives if we just work hard at it.. Happy holidays and have a great 2005...

My husband was deployed to Iraq for 15 months, from April 2003-July 2004. He missed my whole pregnancy, birth of my second child, Christmas and many birthdays. When he left I was pregnant, not showing at all, and our son was 14 months old. When he came home our children were 10 months and 2 1/2 years. He bonded instantly with our 10 month old daughter. If any of the wives that had babies read this, know that your husband will bond with your baby. When he comes home there will be a adjustment period but after about 1 month it will be like he never left! We are back into the swing of things. He has been home for 5 months now and we are PCSing to California. With a very good chance of deploying as soon as we report. From another Military Family, stay strong, stay positive, and YOU ARE AWESOME and STRONG for all the sacrifices you make!
Lots of Love,
Erin, Proud Army wife for 6 years!

I am a new military wife. My husband and I were only married 2 months before he was deployed. We have a daughter that is 3 months old but he has never seen her. She will be about 6 months old when he returns. I am so worried that she will cry when she sees him or she will be afraid of him. But I do find encouragement in these messages that I have read. Thank you so much for taking the time to post them.

Our son was 3 months old when my husband's ship was deployed for six months. One thing that helped me was showing him pictures of Daddy. This was in 1973/74 so we didn't have a video camera or a computer. If you have these available to you, make use of them. If your husband calls, have him talk to your daughter. Our son was a little bit leery of Dad, but after a few days everything was fine. You just have to ease into it. Now our son is 31 and we can't seem to get him out of the house!!! Patience and good luck!

I myself am an army wife with 3 children. My husband was deployed to Korea back in Aug.2003 and a few weeks later I gave birth to our youngest, 5 weeks early. He was able to come home on leave when the baby was 7 months old. Then in Aug.2004 when he should have been back home with us, he was redeployed from Korea to Iraq. I know how lonely is it, and how so many nights myself, along with so many others, cry ourselves to sleep out of concern and loneliness. I worry about my marriage everyday because I am unsure as to when I will even see my husband again, when we will once again be a family! It has been almost 16 months as of now. I have to stay strong for myself, my husband but mostly for our children. I hide the pain everyday but it is always there. And Holidays are the worst. This will be the second Christmas in a row, along with birthdays, the birth of our son, anniversarys, etc. Time we can never get back. I just want my husband back and I pray everyone makes it home safe! God Bless them all! Jen

positive thinking and keep yourself busy. If you find yourself falling into the deep dark negative side, pray .. pray outloud.. it helps. Don't watch the news either, that drove me insaine, because I always worried. But he came home safe, and 4 times at that.. so be safe and I will pray for you and his safeness.

I am in the same vote. My husband is going to Iraq at the end of the month. It has helped me to pray and I light a candle each night. Keep busy and talk to other military wives and do something positive for yourself everyday. It is not selfish to spend a little extra time on yourself and make sure you are taken care of!
Remember:
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
God Bless Our Troops

Hello Dr. Phil and Robin,
The Christmas extravaganza for our soldiers wives and children is the most heart-warming thing you could have done. Thank you for supporting our troops. I am a wife of a soldier who has also been serving in Iraq for over 10 months now. But we are currently living in Germany, so we don't get the greatest support for our military families here. So when are you coming over seas to give us a holiday cheering up? Thank you for your support. Merry Christmas. Christie Thies
Thank You
