Dr. Phil addresses Cindy. “You think that you’ve done nothing wrong here, correct?” he asks.
“There are things that could have been done better,” she replies.
“You say you were trying to do the right thing by helping these animals.”
Dr. Phil turns to Kim, an investigator and campaign leader for Last Chance for Animals. “Why are they dumping animals there instead of somewhere else?” he inquires.
“Because they felt that Animal Control was euthanizing the animals, and that at her place, they had a better shot,” Kim answers. “Every six seconds, an animal does get euthanized in America at a shelter. People in her community, in Curren County, would rather see them with her at a chance for life, than dead in a barrel behind the shelter.”
“That we took off the property, correct,” she replies.
“Did you tell us that she was living in a house that was very dirty, and there was feces everywhere? Did you tell us that you found puppies dead from heat, and 30 dogs had to be euthanized?”
Kim replies in the affirmative to each query.
